Former Tooth & Nail Records rock band Search The City continues to rise up from the ashes, with the guys preparing for a new demo, titled "Watch The Stars Fall," releasing June 27, 2012. The band's brand new lead vocalist, Travis Bobier, addressed fans a few hours ago in a classy way about his new position and replacing former vocalist Josh Frost...
Loyal fans, friends, old-timers, and newcomers,First and foremost, I want to thank you all for the overwhelming response that you’ve given us for the return of Search The City. That being said, I want to say a few more things...
I joined this band not just out of my own desire to play music with a group of talented individuals who truly work their a--es off, but also out of the desire to breathe new life into Search The City, a band that always inspired me for breaking out of the Michigan music scene, a scene that I have been involved with for as long as I’ve played music. I knew going into this that I was taking on an incredibly huge responsibility to uphold the name and songs that are so dear to all of you, and I plan to do just that.
I really want to make this known: I have a HUGE amount of respect for Josh Frost and the work that he contributed in paving the way for this band to be where it is today. He's a huge part of what made this band so great, and I would never try to dishonor or taint his name, or work. I'm not here to "turn" any of you away from him, I don't expect you to, and frankly, I hope that everyone continues to cherish the sonic architecture that was laid down by past members, even if they aren't active with this band today. The ultimate goal for bringing this band back from the great beyond was to expand upon the story of Search The City, not just for us, but for all of you... for the fans who never got to see the songs performed live, and for all of those who never wanted the story to end.
I’m really excited to take this journey with all of you. I can’t wait to meet all of you at shows, I can’t wait to share the record that we’ve been working so diligently on, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future.
Many thanks,
Travis Bobier
